ABOUT ICoMST

With its first edition held in 1955, ICoMST is currently the largest and most prestigious international congress in the field of meat science and technology. In 2024, ICoMST will be held for the second time in Brazil, following the tremendous success of the event held in Campinas, SP in 2003.

In its 70th edition, the congress aims to bring together approximately 500 professionals from over 30 countries, including scientists, business leaders, and representatives from legislative bodies.

The speakers and participants of ICoMST are renowned opinion leaders in the field of meat science and technology.


ORGANIZING COMMITTEE

The Congress is being organized by experts in meat science and technology from Brazil, with Professors Saulo da Luz e Silva and Marco Antônio Trindade, both from the University of São Paulo (FZEA/USP), serving as presidents. Additionally, the committee includes distinguished professionals in their respective fields.

The theme of the Congress

"Responsible Meat Production"

The challenges and opportunities in the meat industry, combined with sustainability, social responsibility, and environmental considerations, will be addressed. The discussions will focus on ways to enhance the production and processing of meat and meat products while minimizing environmental impact, ensuring animal welfare, and maintaining the quality and safety of these foods for consumers.
